This summer marks the 50th anniversary of Jaws and... man, does that make me feel old. Fifty. Freakin’. Years. Five decades of being terrified to swim in the ocean, of hearing that iconic duh-DUM duh-DUM in our heads whenever we dip our toes in a lake. Last weekend I hosted this year's Flashback Weekend  annual Dusk to Dawn Horrorfest at The Midway Drive-In and it was one of the best yet.  The Midway is located an hour and forty-five minute drive outside Chicago in charming  Dixon, Illinois . The annual all-night horror moviethon in September marks the end of the drive-in season at the Midway and every year it's pretty special. This year was no different. The four terrific films this year were  “A Nightmare on Elm Street,”

Here on my Blog you have read all about Flashback Weekend , the best horror convention in the country, that I have been a part of for over 20 years. Mike and Mia Kerz, the creators and of that fantastic annual event also happen to own and run one of the best drive-in theaters in the country: The Midway Drive-In in Dixon, Il.
